Eva Richardson's bible

DATE:
18 May 1881
CURRENT OWNER OF THE ITEM:

STORY/ABOUT:
This is a real treasure. Without the inscription this little bible would be ‘just an old bible’. With it, I now know that my great great grandpa, the Reverend Robert McCullough who emigrated from Ireland, gave this bible to his wife Eva Richardson on their wedding day back in May 1881. Married in Victoria (Australia), Robert and Eva, and their family lived in Tasmania and South Australia  Tasmania and South Australia, where Robert pastored a number of Baptist churches.
Eva Richardson was the granddaughter of a convict, and was also said to be Robert’s first convert.
