DESCRIPTION: this is the autograph book that was had for the “William Kelly 1938 Reunion”
DATE: 31 December 1938
CURRENT OWNER OF THE ITEM: Sharon Norman (nee Beer)
STORY/ABOUT:¬† William Kelly who arrived in South Australia in 1838 from the Isle of Man, settled in Cudlee Creek. This reunion took place 50 years after his death at the Kelly homestead “Sulby Glen” at Cudlee Creek, which also happened¬† to be 100 years since his arrival in South Australia. The autograph book was created by Esther Kelly for the reunion. I have only show 5 double-page spreads of the book above, but there are far more than that as there are pages and pages of signatures of almost every one of the 300 who attended the reunion.
